Big Metal is a sustainable fashion jewellery branded founded 30 years ago by John McGrath. John was was inspired to start making jewellery whilst living in Papua New Guinea where he saw local artisans working with natural materials. When he returned to London he set up a workshop in his mothers garden shed and taught himself to make jewellery out of metal. He began with a stall in Portobello Market and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
